Dan Starkey is back!!!!!

The next Dan Starkey novel, Belfast Confidential, will be published in the UK by Headline in November 2005. This, if I do say so myself, is a tour-de-force, and is possibly a direct sequel to Divorcing Jack, in that it`s purely set in Belfast, but one that`s radically different to the city of ten years ago.

In this one Dan is persuaded to take over the editorship of a scandal magazine called Belfast Confidential, which is like a cross between Private Eye and Hello, after its first editor is murdered while researching a special Power List issue.

Dan has to not only find out who killed the editor, but also act responsibly enough to make sure the magazine and the Power List gets published – this brings him into contact with a reformed gangster, a football star, a boy band, a lifestyle guru, an ex-terrorist Lord Mayor and the jet setting owner of a sports car factory which wants to set up in West Belfast.

Enough plot to build a housing estate on!!
