Cycle of Violence

Cycle of Violence was written immediately after `Divorcing Jack`, and long before DJ was accepted for publication. I`d enjoyed writing Divorcing Jack, but as nobody else seemed to like it, I thought I`d have another crack at it.

This also features a journalist - Miller, this time – sent as a punishment for yet more drunken behaviour to the battle scarred bandit country town of Crossmaheart, where he quickly falls in love with the slightly deranged Marie and sets out to discover the mystery of his missing predecessor both in the local paper and Marie`s bed.

The opening chapter, which deals with Miller`s father`s death, is quite autobiographical, and the exchange with the young undertaker who tries to book a cremation, but then gets the wrong number, is word for word what happened when my brother and I went to organise my own father`s funeral.
